Authorization Associate

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Authorization Associate 1, Remote, Patient Access Business Office.

Key Responsibilities

• Request, follow-up, obtain, and validate authorizations/referrals/notifications with appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes
• Coordinate patient flow and ensure timely processing while meeting individual quality metrics
• Maintain knowledge of insurance requirements, financial assistance options, and overall revenue cycle operations

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 1 year experience in validating/obtaining authorizations with insurance payers
• Completion of the Patient Access training course
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology is desired
