Job Summary
Detail-oriented and compassionate, the part-time hourly Authorization Benefit Specialist I will obtain pre-certifications for outpatient procedures, communicate with healthcare partners about authorization requirements, and support revenue cycle operations in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Obtain pre-certifications for scheduled outpatient procedures to ensure timely patient care
- Communicate professionally with physicians and healthcare partners regarding authorization requirements
- Review and process authorization-related information accurately and efficiently
Required qualifications
- Completion of High School or GED is required
- Two to four years of experience in a physician's office, hospital registration, or medical billing is required
- Experience with Epic and knowledge of insurance is a plus but not required
