Job Summary
A company is looking for an Authorization Specialist (Remote).
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage
- Secure third-party payer authorization for services
- Complete diagnosis, CPT coding, and Medical Terminology courses within one year of hire
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years' experience in a medical business office or healthcare setting
- Successful completion of post-secondary courses in Medical Terminology and Diagnosis/CPT Coding
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant, Health Unit Coordinator, or Health Care Business Service program
- No specific certifications/licenses required
