Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

To support efficient authorization processes, the full-time remote Authorization Specialist will manage patient file reviews, communicate with stakeholders, and document case activities to enhance reimbursement efforts and reduce denial rates.

Key responsibilities

• Review patient files for completeness and submit prior authorizations timely for payer reimbursement
• Communicate with franchise partners, payers, and other departments regarding authorization statuses
• Track and report service issues related to authorizations to ensure patient access and avoid therapy delays

Required qualifications

• Two years' experience in intake/authorizations and home infusion therapy
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven understanding of billing and collection processes for various payer types
• Strong organizational skills to maintain clear records of activities and documentation
• Proficient in MS Office suite and pharmacy applications
