Job Summary

A company is looking for an Authorization Specialist II who will support the prior authorization request process.

Key Responsibilities

• Aids the utilization management team and maintains ongoing tracking and appropriate documentation on authorizations and referrals
• Supports the authorization review process by researching and documenting necessary medical information for clinical review
• Verifies member insurance coverage and performs data entry to maintain and update authorization requests

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• 1 - 2 years of related experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance preferred
