Authorization Specialist - MA Licensed

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle of the organization, the remote Authorization Specialist - MA Licensed will manage the authorization process for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain necessary paperwork and referrals to request authorizations for patients
• Track and update authorization information in the medical record while maintaining relationships with payers and branch staff
• Follow up on pending and expiring authorizations and act as a liaison with insurance case managers

Required qualifications

• One or more years of insurance authorization experience preferred
• Experience in the health care billing industry preferred
• Utilization management experience and pre-certification helpful
• Customer service experience
