Automated Test Engineer

Job Summary

Experienced in software testing, the full-time Automated Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans, conduct testing of IT systems, and document results while working remotely in support of Veterans Affairs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and procedures to ensure systems meet organizational standards
• Perform and lead tests on software and IT systems, documenting and communicating test results effectively
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze test results and resolve issues, while providing technical solutions to complex problems

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field with 10+ years of experience in software testing
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools, including Selenium and JUnit
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and defect tracking systems like JIRA
