Automated Test Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Automated Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans and procedures, ensuring information systems meet organizational standards, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and procedures to validate software and IT systems
• Document test results and communicate findings, while supporting the analysis of test outcomes and issue resolution
• Lead testing efforts and provide technical solutions to complex problems, ensuring high-quality deliverables

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 10 or more years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium and JUnit
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
