Automated Test Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Automated Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans and scripts, ensure software quality through both manual and automated testing, and document results while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and procedures to ensure software meets organizational standards
• Lead testing efforts for software and IT systems, documenting results and resolving complex issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate test results and provide technical solutions to identified problems

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 10 or more years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium or JUnit
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
