Automated Test Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Veterans Affairs department, the full-time Automated Test Engineer will develop and execute test plans, create test cases, and lead testing efforts to ensure software quality, working remotely in a role that requires strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure software meets organizational standards
- Lead testing activities and document results, providing analysis and resolution for identified issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and alignment on testing objectives
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- 10 or more years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or Python
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools, including Selenium and JUnit
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
