Automation Developer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a long-term contract basis, the Automation Developer will design, develop, implement, and maintain automation solutions using Ansible, Python, and Shell scripting while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement automation solutions across diverse infrastructure environments
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to identify and document automation processes
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and mentor team members in automation best practices

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Ansible, including designing playbooks and roles
• 5+ years of professional Python development experience, particularly with automation frameworks
• 10+ years of experience in writing Bash/Shell scripts for Linux/Unix environments
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or automation engineering roles
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix system administration and version control systems
