Automation Engineer

Job Summary

To support enterprise middleware technologies, the remote contract Automation Engineer will design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Ansible, Python, and Shell scripting while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain automation solutions across diverse infrastructure environments
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to identify and document automation opportunities
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues in automated systems and continuously improve existing automation frameworks

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Ansible, including designing playbooks and roles
• 5+ years of professional Python development experience, particularly with automation frameworks and REST API integration
• 10+ years of experience writing Bash/Shell scripts for Linux/Unix environments
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or automation engineering roles
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix system administration and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
