Automation Engineering Director

Job Summary

Leading the enterprise capability for workflow automation and internal tooling, the full-time remote Automation Engineering Director will define the roadmap, design impactful solutions, and establish governance standards to enable safe automation across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise roadmap for automation, internal tools, and citizen-development enablement, incorporating AI where beneficial
• Design and build workflow automations, integrations, and internal tools that interface with various enterprise systems
• Establish development standards and governance practices, ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and data integrity expectations

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in automation engineering, software engineering, or related technology leadership roles
• Proven experience leading complex workstreams in workflow automation and low-code/no-code solutions
• Strong technical foundation in APIs, data flows, and modern software delivery practices
• Hands-on experience applying AI to automation and workflow design
• Familiarity with Salesforce, ADO/Jira, and enterprise application ecosystems
