Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Principal Process Architect in Automotive Software, this role will lead the development of the DriveOS process architecture, establish risk-based frameworks, and drive process automation to enhance quality and safety in autonomous vehicle software development, with remote work options available.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development of DriveOS process architecture and terminology across engineering and program management
- Establish a risk-based tailoring framework and quality-gate criteria to surface risks early in the development process
- Convert recurring defects and assessment observations into durable improvements for engineering processes and training
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, computer science, or a related field
- 15+ years of experience in automotive or safety-critical product development, focusing on process architecture and engineering quality
- Deep understanding of Automotive SPICE and its application to engineering behaviors and assessable evidence
- Hands-on experience with automotive functional safety and cybersecurity requirements, including ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434
- Proven ability to build risk-based tailoring and establish quality gates in complex, multi-variant product environments
