Aviation English Instructor
Job Summary
To support the development of Aviation English proficiency, the full-time remote Aviation English Instructor will teach and develop online courses and assessments, focusing on air traffic controllers and other aviation professionals, while engaging in curriculum development and providing feedback on student submissions.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver up to 20 hours per week of synchronous online classes and provide feedback on student submissions
- Engage in the development of Aviation English curriculum and course content for various aviation roles
- Participate in regular virtual meetings with the teaching team to discuss best practices and challenges in course delivery
Required qualifications
- Master's Degree in Applied Linguistics or TESOL with relevant teaching experience in English as a Second or Foreign Language
- Demonstrated interest in aviation and a collaborative approach to teamwork
- Experience in curriculum development and online language teaching
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas or Blackboard
- Evidence of instructional design and task-based language teaching experience
