AVP of Application Development

Job Summary

Leading a large, complex development organization, the full-time AVP of Application Development will manage a team of 30+ developers, drive modernization initiatives, and implement AI-powered applications in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the Guidewire and P&C legacy application development team while managing multiple business lines
• Translate business goals into a prioritized application development roadmap and lead multi-year modernization programs
• Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders to advocate for investments in modernization and AI initiatives

Required qualifications

• Deep expertise in modern application architecture and cloud platforms
• Proven track record in leading large-scale legacy modernization initiatives
• Hands-on experience with Guidewire or comparable P&C insurance platforms
• Demonstrated experience in managing a development organization of 30+ personnel
• Familiarity with AI-powered application development and modern low-code/no-code platforms
