AVP of Encounters

Job Summary

Providing strategic leadership for encounters activities, the full-time AVP of Encounters will manage inbound and outbound processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance operational performance in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Develops and implements strategies for encounters functions, ensuring accountability for performance and financial results
• Oversees the accuracy and completeness of encounter submissions and manages rejection resolutions across all lines of business
• Leads hiring, training, and development of encounters staff, standardizing processes to improve quality and efficiency

Required qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in billing, claims, encounters, and/or data analysis in a managed care setting
• A minimum of 5 years in a management or leadership role
• Expert knowledge of health care encounters and advanced data analysis techniques
• Experience managing department budgets and multiple markets or product lines
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
