AVP of Underwriting Practices

Job Summary

Driving a nimble, data-centric culture, the full-time AVP of Underwriting Practices for Small Commercial Lines will lead a high-performing team to assess product performance, deploy advanced analytics solutions, and improve underwriting and pricing outcomes in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with senior leaders across Small CL to anticipate business strategies and data needs, guiding solution design and execution
• Own the integration of rules-based data science to enhance risk selection and support the Technical Underwriting Organization through analytics
• Lead the deployment of predictive models and AI solutions to simplify underwriting practices and enhance overall business performance

Required Qualifications:

• College degree required; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 10 years of experience in related roles
• Actuarial and/or data analytics licenses/certifications preferred
• Extensive knowledge of Commercial Lines products and underwriting methodology
• Proven ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders in a data-driven environment
