AVP of Warranty Underwriting

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Assistant Vice President of Underwriting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute underwriting strategies for Warranty Lines products to achieve profitability and growth
• Oversee the underwriting process for complex risks and monitor portfolio performance to maintain profitability
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers, MGAs, TPAs, and reinsurers to enhance market presence

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Actuarial, Mathematics, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field; advanced degree or professional designations preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of underwriting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role focused on Warranty Lines Insurance
• Proven expertise in areas such as Automotive F&I, Consumer Goods, or Home Warranty
• Strong analytical skills for assessing complex risks and making data-driven decisions
• Exceptional leadership experience with a track record of building high-performing teams
