AWS Cloud Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support data-driven initiatives, the remote contract AWS Cloud Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and processing solutions within AWS cloud environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to migrate data and implement data services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and processing solutions in AWS
• Partner with AWS Cloud DBAs to migrate data from legacy applications to AWS, ensuring performance and security
• Develop ETL/ELT workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and loading into data lakes and warehouses

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 6 years of data engineering experience, with at least 3 years in AWS cloud environments
• Strong experience with AWS data services such as S3, Glue, and Redshift
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for data processing
• Experience with SQL and relational databases like PostgreSQL or Oracle
