AWS Cloud Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support data initiatives, the long-term contract AWS Cloud Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines in remote AWS cloud environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to migrate legacy data.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and processing solutions within AWS
• Develop ETL/ELT workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and loading into data lakes and warehouses
• Implement AWS data services and establish data quality checks and governance controls

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 6 years of data engineering experience, with at least 3 years in AWS cloud environments
• Strong experience with AWS data services such as S3, Glue, and Redshift
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for data processing and pipeline development
• Experience with SQL and relational databases, as well as NoSQL databases
