AWS Cloud Data Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking an AWS Cloud Data Engineer for a full-time remote position, the selected candidate will design, implement, and validate cloud-native data ingestion and persistence pipelines within a DoD-accredited AWS GovCloud environment, requiring an active DoD Secret clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain data ingestion paths for structured files and APIs from DoD sources into an S3-backed landing zone
• Support relational database selection and configuration while deploying a data cataloging solution for schema visibility and metadata management
• Coordinate security and authorization activities, including S3 encryption, IAM role boundaries, and ATO/ICA documentation

Required qualifications

• Active Secret clearance
• 4+ years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering experience, particularly in AWS GovCloud environments
• Proficiency with core AWS services such as S3, Lambda, AWS Glue, and RDS/Aurora
• Experience designing and implementing data ingestion pipelines for structured files and APIs
• Familiarity with relational database design and DoD cloud authorization environments
