AWS Cloud Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support data migration and processing initiatives, the long-term contract AWS Cloud Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines within AWS cloud environments while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and processing solutions in AWS
• Collaborate with AWS Cloud DBAs and cross-functional teams to migrate data from legacy systems to AWS
• Develop ETL/ELT workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and loading into various data platforms

Required qualifications

• Ability to obtain a Federal Public Trust clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 6 years of data engineering experience, with at least 3 years in AWS cloud environments
• Strong experience with AWS data services such as S3, Glue, and Redshift
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for data processing and pipeline development
