AWS Cloud Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support data migration and processing initiatives, the remote contract AWS Cloud Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines within AWS, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, reliability, and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and processing solutions in AWS cloud environments
• Partner with AWS Cloud DBAs to migrate data from legacy applications to AWS, ensuring performance and security
• Develop ETL/ELT workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and loading into data lakes and warehouses

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 6 years of data engineering experience, including at least 3 years in AWS cloud environments
• Strong experience with AWS data services such as S3, Glue, and Redshift
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for data processing and pipeline development
• Experience with SQL and relational databases like PostgreSQL or Oracle
