Job Summary
Seeking an AWS Cloud Data Engineer to support a Department of Defense data modernization effort, this full-time remote position involves designing, implementing, and validating cloud-native data ingestion and persistence pipelines on an accredited DoD cloud platform, requiring an active DoD Secret clearance.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain data ingestion paths for various data streams into an S3-backed landing zone
- Support relational database selection and configuration aligned to multi-tenant data isolation requirements
- Coordinate with security teams on encryption, access policies, and ATO/ICA activities within accredited environments
Required qualifications
- Active Secret clearance
- 4+ years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering experience, particularly in AWS GovCloud environments
- Proficiency with AWS services including S3, Lambda, AWS Glue, and RDS/Aurora
- Experience in designing and implementing data ingestion pipelines for structured files and APIs
- Familiarity with DoD cloud authorization environments and ATO/ICA processes
