AWS Cloud Database Administrator

Job Summary

To support database operations in a remote capacity, the long-term contract AWS Cloud Database Administrator will design, deploy, and manage secure and scalable database solutions within AWS while administering AWS-managed database services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS database solutions, ensuring high availability and security
• Administer AWS-managed database services and implement strategies for performance optimization and disaster recovery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database operations and troubleshoot complex issues

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 6 years of DBA experience in AWS cloud environments
• Hands-on experience with AWS database services such as RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB
• Strong SQL skills and experience with database migration and replication tools
• Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash, or similar languages
