AWS Cloud Database Administrator

Job Summary

To support a long-term project, the AWS Cloud Database Administrator will design, deploy, and manage secure and scalable database solutions in a remote contract role, focusing on AWS-managed database services and performance optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage highly available database solutions in AWS
• Administer AWS-managed database services and implement strategies for high availability and disaster recovery
• Migrate on-premises databases to AWS and monitor database performance for optimization

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 6 years of DBA experience supporting AWS cloud environments
• Hands-on experience with AWS database services, including RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB
• Strong SQL skills and experience with database migration and replication tools
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
