AWS Cloud Database Administrator

Job Summary

To support a long-term contract, the AWS Cloud Database Administrator will design, deploy, and manage secure and scalable database solutions in AWS while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage highly available database solutions in AWS, including administering AWS-managed database services
• Monitor and optimize database performance, implement security controls, and automate operational tasks using Infrastructure as Code tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database operations and troubleshoot complex issues

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 6 years of DBA experience supporting AWS cloud environments
• Hands-on experience with AWS database services such as RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB
• Strong SQL skills and experience with database migration and modernization tools
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
