AWS Cloud Database Administrator

Job Summary

To support a long-term contract, the remote AWS Cloud Database Administrator will design, deploy, and manage secure and scalable database solutions in AWS while administering AWS-managed database services and optimizing performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage highly available database solutions in AWS
• Administer AWS-managed database services and implement strategies for high availability and disaster recovery
• Migrate on-premises databases to AWS and troubleshoot complex database issues

Required qualifications

• Ability to obtain a Federal Public Trust clearance
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 6 years of DBA experience in AWS cloud environments
• Hands-on experience with AWS database services such as RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB
• Strong SQL skills and experience with database migration and replication tools
