AWS Cloud Database Administrator

Job Summary

To support a long-term contract, the AWS Cloud Database Administrator will design, deploy, and manage secure and scalable database solutions in a remote environment while administering AWS-managed database services such as Amazon RDS and DynamoDB.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage highly available database solutions in AWS, ensuring security and scalability
• Administer AWS-managed database services and implement strategies for high availability, backup, and disaster recovery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot database issues and support ongoing data operations

Required qualifications

• Ability to obtain a Federal Public Trust clearance
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 6 years of DBA experience in AWS cloud environments
• Hands-on experience with AWS database services, including RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB
• Strong SQL skills and experience with database migration and modernization tools
