AWS Cloud Database Administrator

Job Summary

To support a long-term contract, the AWS Cloud Database Administrator will design, deploy, and manage secure and scalable database solutions in AWS while working remotely on a full-time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage AWS database solutions, including RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB
• Migrate on-premises databases to AWS and implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize database performance and integrate operations into CI/CD pipelines

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 6 years of DBA experience in AWS cloud environments
• Hands-on experience with AWS database services and strong SQL skills
• Experience with database migration and modernization tools such as AWS DMS and SCT
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
