AWS Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

To support cloud infrastructure initiatives, the remote AWS Cloud Engineer will design cloud application and security architecture, manage compliance with IT security policies, and collaborate with IT staff and vendors over a 3-6 month contract.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design, build, implement, and support new and existing cloud hosting services
• Build tools and automation to enhance availability, scalability, and efficiency
• Monitor environments and perform root cause analysis on production system failures

Required qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of IT principles, including infrastructure support and application development techniques
• Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current trends
• Deep understanding of AWS services such as ALB, EC2, ECS, and S3
• Strong experience in developing Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues in mixed environments
