AWS Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

To support cloud migration and modernization initiatives, the contract AWS Cloud Platform Engineer will design, build, and manage scalable and secure cloud environments across AWS, working remotely and requiring U.S. citizenship or Green Card status along with the ability to obtain a public trust clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage cloud platform environments, ensuring scalability and security
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation for automation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to onboard workloads and define platform standards and best practices

Required qualifications

• Minimum six years of relevant experience in AWS cloud platform engineering
• Bachelor's degree required, or four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins
• Knowledge of cloud networking fundamentals, including VPC/VNet and security groups
