AWS Cloud Engineering Director
Job Summary
Leading the strategic vision for AWS Cloud services, the full-time salaried AWS Cloud Engineering Director will manage the implementation of cloud platforms, enhance customer experience, and collaborate across various engineering teams to optimize infrastructure and costs.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the AWS platform engineering team to enhance the Amex EKS Platform and enable AWS native services
- Partner with security, architecture, and application teams to define and implement cloud best practices
- Continuously evaluate and optimize cloud infrastructure to improve reliability, efficiency, and security posture
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- 15+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience, including 8+ years with AWS
- Deep understanding of cloud technologies and experience with orchestration and automation tools
- Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
- Strong analytical skills and experience with observability tools such as Prometheus and Splunk
