AWS Cloud Migration Engineer
Job Summary
Leading large-scale migration initiatives from on-premises VMware environments to AWS, the full-time AWS Cloud Migration Engineer will assess infrastructure, plan and execute migrations, build AWS environments, and automate deployment processes in a hybrid work model.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess existing VMware environments and identify migration candidates and strategies
- Plan and execute the migration of VMware virtual machines and workloads to AWS, ensuring minimal disruption
- Design and configure AWS cloud infrastructure components while automating deployment activities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience supporting VMware infrastructure environments
- 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing AWS cloud solutions
- Proven experience leading VMware-to-AWS migration projects
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, and VMware PowerCLI
