AWS Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting a large-scale cloud modernization effort, the contract AWS Cloud Security Engineer will secure AWS environments, automate compliance controls, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure secure application delivery while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across AWS cloud environments
• Automate security controls and compliance checks using Infrastructure as Code tools
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and assist with deployment processes

Required qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in cloud security and AWS security
• Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, and IAM
• Experience automating security workflows using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages
