AWS Data Engineer

Job Summary

AWS Data Engineer is a full-time position focused on leading the modernization of a healthcare data platform by transitioning to a cloud-native AWS architecture and optimizing data storage and query performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the transition from MSSQL to AWS data architecture and enable SQL-based reporting for stakeholders
• Design and implement data models, optimize query performance, and maintain data catalogs and metadata management
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to ensure data integration and implement CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
• Experience in architecting cloud data platform migrations in enterprise or healthcare settings
• Proficiency in AWS data services, SQL, and experience with XML data stores
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a Public Trust security clearance
