AWS Data Engineer

Job Summary

AWS Data Engineer is a full-time position focused on leading the modernization of a healthcare data platform using AWS architecture and enabling efficient data reporting and querying for business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the evolution of the healthcare data platform from MSSQL to a cloud-native AWS architecture
• Design and build data models and reporting layers for seamless SQL-based queries by non-technical users
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and document architecture decisions for both technical and non-technical audiences

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong AWS focus
• Proven experience in cloud data platform migrations and selecting AWS data services
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS data-oriented services such as S3, Athena, and Redshift
• Experience with XML data stores and translating business reporting requirements into data models
