AWS Data Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (AWS Data Engineer) will implement a scalable AWS data architecture, optimize query performance, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into effective data models, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement cloud-native AWS data solutions for healthcare data reporting and analytics
• Evaluate and recommend optimal AWS data storage and query architectures based on business needs
• Document architecture decisions and data flows for both technical and non-technical audiences

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
• Proven experience in architecting cloud data platform migrations in production environments
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, and Redshift
• Strong SQL skills with experience in designing relational query layers over semi-structured data
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
