AWS Data Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (AWS Data Engineer) will architect and implement a scalable AWS data architecture, enabling seamless SQL-based reporting and queries while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build a cloud-native AWS data architecture to support healthcare data reporting and analytics
• Evaluate and select optimal AWS data services and implement a migration strategy from MSSQL to AWS
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into effective data models and query patterns

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
• Proven experience in architecting cloud data platform migrations in enterprise or healthcare environments
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, and Redshift
• Strong SQL skills, with experience in designing relational query layers over semi-structured data
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
