AWS Data Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time AWS Data Engineer will implement a scalable, cloud-native AWS architecture, optimize query performance, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and execute the migration of XML object store data from MSSQL to AWS, defining optimal storage and query strategies
• Design and build reporting layers for business stakeholders to run SQL queries against healthcare data
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and apply Infrastructure as Code practices for data infrastructure management

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
• Proven experience in architecting cloud data platform migrations in enterprise or healthcare environments
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, and Redshift
• Strong SQL skills and experience with XML-heavy data stores
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
