Job Summary

Leading the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (AWS Data Engineer) will implement a scalable AWS data architecture, optimize query performance, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data solutions in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and execute the migration of XML object store data to AWS, ensuring optimal query performance and data organization
• Design and build a reporting layer for business stakeholders to run SQL queries against healthcare data
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and apply Infrastructure as Code practices using AWS-native tools

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
• Proven track record in architecting cloud data platform migrations in enterprise or healthcare environments
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services, including S3, Athena, and Redshift
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong SQL skills with experience in working with XML-heavy data stores
