AWS Data Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time AWS Data Engineer will architect and implement a scalable cloud-native AWS data architecture, optimizing data storage and query performance while collaborating with business stakeholders and analysts remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and execute the migration of XML object store data to a cloud-native AWS platform
• Design and build a reporting layer for non-technical users to perform SQL queries on healthcare data
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for data infrastructure management

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
• Proven experience in architecting cloud data platform migrations in production environments
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, and Redshift
• Strong SQL skills and experience with XML-heavy data stores
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
