AWS Data Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (AWS Data Engineer) will implement a scalable, cloud-native AWS architecture, optimize data storage and query performance, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver effective reporting solutions in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and execute cloud data platform migrations, transitioning from MSSQL XML to AWS
• Design and build reporting layers for non-technical users to run SQL queries against healthcare data
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and apply Infrastructure as Code practices for data infrastructure management

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
• Proven track record in architecting cloud data migrations in enterprise or healthcare environments
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, and Redshift
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• U.S. Citizenship required for this opportunity
