AWS Data Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time Senior Systems Engineer (AWS Data Engineer) will implement a scalable AWS data architecture, manage data migrations, and optimize query performance, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and execute cloud data platform migrations, ensuring optimal data storage and query architecture
- Design and build reporting layers for business stakeholders to run SQL queries against healthcare data
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and apply Infrastructure as Code practices to maintain data infrastructure
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
- Proven experience in architecting cloud data platform migrations in production environments
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, and Redshift
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Strong SQL skills with experience in designing relational query layers over semi-structured data
