AWS Data Engineer
Job Summary
To lead the modernization of a healthcare data platform, the full-time AWS Data Engineer will implement a scalable AWS data architecture, optimize query performance, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into effective data models, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the evolution of the healthcare data platform from MSSQL XML to a cloud-native AWS architecture
- Design and build a reporting layer for non-technical users to run SQL queries against healthcare data
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and apply Infrastructure as Code practices for data infrastructure management
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software or data engineering with a strong focus on AWS
- Proven experience in architecting cloud data platform migrations in enterprise or healthcare settings
- Strong SQL skills and experience with XML-heavy data stores
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
