AWS Database Architect
Job Summary
To ensure optimal database performance and design, the full-time AWS Database Architect will manage AWS MySQL, Azure TSQL, and Databricks environments while collaborating with technology and data teams to drive database excellence remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Create and modify database structures for transactional integrity and analytical reporting
- Perform advanced database maintenance tasks, including backups, performance tuning, and index optimization
- Design and implement Master Data Management (MDM) solutions to ensure data consistency across systems
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 6+ years of hands-on SQL coding experience across multiple platforms (AWS MySQL, Azure TSQL, Databricks AnsiSQL)
- 6+ years of experience in data modeling, ERD design, and database tuning
- Proven experience supporting data systems in both Technology and Data team environments
- Strong AWS cloud platform knowledge
