AWS DevOps Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic, the full-time remote AWS DevOps Engineer will design, optimize, and sustain AWS cloud environments while ensuring high performance and compliance in a government-contracted setting.
Key responsibilities
- Engineer and maintain optimal performance and availability of AWS environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation
- Diagnose and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues, providing support for technical hurdles related to cloud systems
- Lead automation initiatives and mentor junior engineering staff while creating and maintaining technical documentation
Required qualifications
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field
- 10+ years of software or network engineering experience with a Master's degree or 14+ years with a Bachelor's degree
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform/CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines
- Current CompTIA Security+ and Agile Developer or Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) certifications
