AWS Platform Support Engineer
Job Summary
To provide expert support for AWS infrastructure, the remote Tier 2 Platform Support Engineer will manage AWS services, perform incident management, and ensure platform reliability while utilizing advanced Linux and Windows server administration skills.
Key responsibilities
- Administer and support AWS infrastructure services, including EC2, VPC, IAM, and RDS
- Conduct incident management and root cause analysis for critical issues, ensuring timely resolution
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and runbooks to enhance operational efficiency
Required qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of experience in AWS infrastructure administration
- Proficiency in advanced Linux administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux) and Windows Server
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Jenkins
- Certifications: AWS SysOps Associate, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, and ITIL Foundation
- Strong skills in incident management and service management using ServiceNow ITSM
