AWS Security Penetration Tester

Job Summary

To support the AWS Penetration Testing team, the full-time AWS Security Penetration Tester will perform adversarial testing of AWS production services, utilizing established methodologies and collaborating with senior engineers to identify and exploit security vulnerabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct adversarial testing on AWS services, applying team methodologies and guidance
• Transform findings from GenAI security tools into actionable exploits and document vulnerabilities
• Manually audit source code and escalate complex issues to senior engineers as needed

Required qualifications

• Knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, Perl)
• Understanding of security fundamentals, including vulnerability classes and secure coding
• Ability to communicate security risks for low complexity problems effectively
• Hands-on experience with penetration testing, bug bounties, or security research
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS or similar) and web application security
